Back in 1978 - 1980 I had a 40 minute drive to work from Matteson to Cicero. I always made sure that I was in the car so that I could hear Animal stories. The first time I heard "Disco Kit" I thought I was going to run off the road I was laughing so hard.
Moved to Texas in 1980 and sometimes I could pick up the show in the morning.
Then moved to Arizona (where most of Chicago lives now anyway!) the 50,000 watts of WLS power could not get over the Rockies!!!.
Anyway I am glad this site is here to be able to remember how funny Lujack was (I would listen to him over Howard Stern any day of the week.) I am sorry he copped this awful attitude about being a disc jockey and hope he has mellowed. He made a lot of people laugh in the 1970's and that is important. It was not that funny of a time.
